Dr. Hao Min

Dr. Hao Min received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Materials Science, Fudan University in 1991. He served as an associate professor in the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuits and Systems, Fudan University. From 1995 to 1998, he was a visiting associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, USA, where he worked on the design of CMOS image sensors. At the same time, he worked as a consultant to semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley and was a co-founder of Pixel Devices International, which developed the high resolution, low noise CMOS image sensor, later acquired by HEWLETT-PACKARD.

After completing his research at Stanford University in 1998, Dr. Hao Min became professor and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuits and Systems at Fudan University. From the end of 1998 to March 2006, he served as the General Manager of Shanghai Hua Hong Integrated Circuit Co., LTD., leading the company to develop the first domestic contactless IC card chip for Shanghai public transport CARDS. The Second-Generation ID card chip was developed and won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress. The first domestic USB Key chip was developed, which enabled Shanghai Hua Hong Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. to grow from a start-up to one of the top ten integrated circuit design companies in mainland China. In 2006, the sales volume reached 600 million and the net profit reached 100 million. In 2006, Dr. Hao Min led the entrepreneurial teams of Fudan University to start Shanghai Quanray Electronics Technology Co., LTD. He lead Quanray successfully developed the first in Asia and the world's fourth Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) RFID chips, which was sold more than 300 million, successfully applied in Wuliangye Liquor Anti-Counterfeit and Boeing and Airbus Aircraft Parts Management, Comac RFID Aircraft Assembly Line Management, and other major projects.

Dr. Hao Min has more than 30 years of experience in Integrated Circuit (IC, Integrated Circuit) industry, his research include VLSI system integration, mixed signal IC design, CMOS image sensor design, the digital signal and image processing and so on. He successively participated and carried out dozens of major projects including 863 national key projects, international cooperation and IC design work, published more than 40 papers and conferences in many journals, at the same time teaching "VLSI integration system", "computer architecture" courses in Fudan University Institute of Microelectronics. He has solid experiences in theory and practice.
